We offer a one-to-one counselling service for young people. The approach used is an Integrative one, combining CBT, person-centred and creative techniques for the best outcome with each young person. Depending on the age of the client, we will involve parents always at the assessment stage, and perhaps on an ongoing basis as required. However, this is a place for a young person to come and be able to share in a confidential space, and we will always endeavour to make it this.
Young people respond especially well to CBT concepts and the idea of ‘Think Good – Feel Good’ is one that has long been used with young people who suffer with anxiety, panic attacks, low self-confidence, feel low or isolated or even self-harm.
